Halloween Piece Preparation
It was good to meet with DTC again, especially after so much has happened in the world since we last saw one another; from two earthquakes in Mexico, to two hurricanes (Florida and Puerto Rico), the group seemed happy to touch base with one another once again. I was relieved to find out everyone survived basically unscathed ... except for poor Osvaldo's Papaya tree!

We began to brainstorm ideas so we can finally perform a piece for Halloween, something we've been wanting to do for quite some time now. The problem was there were so many ideas and everyone wanting to contribute, which was a good problem to have. We split up into three groups and decided each would come up with their own story.

Before we knew it, it was already time to go As we were leaving, Kayla noticed this praying mantis on the wall of our building. I didn't know these insects existed in this state. Seemed like an omen that since I have just celebrated my eighth year here in Florida, I should happen to see one, so I took a picture. I would have gotten a better one had I taken my phone out the moment I saw it, but by this point, it was trying to flee me and it's shadow ended up coming out better than the bug did!
