We're back!

Fernando forever feeling that camera on him!

It was so good to return and see everyone again; we were even able to meet someone new! And we had some older members that found their way back; it was just like old times!

I was so excited for the rehearsal to start that I accidentally bumped my forehead while closing the tailgate of the Mazda before entering the hall. Not good, considering it hurt, it left a mark, and I have four nights of performances at the Straz Center ahead of me. I had been meaning to purchase a base/foundation to match my skin color ... I guess now is as good of time as any to make that investment!

After checking in with one another, we dove right in by using Image Theatre from the arsenal of Boal's "Theatre of the Oppressed" to flesh out the theme "picking on me." Four of our volunteers gave us some excellent static images to work off of and we were able to go through three different stages before dynamisizing the images. It served as a great precursor to the original piece we will be creating for "Cesar Chavez Day," as well as our original piece to be created for the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival.

Our time together flew and I could tell everyone was happy about our rehearsals continuing again. We were even special enough to have been blessed by Margarita beforehand and I could tell she was happy to see us return!

"Thank you 10!"
