Off to the races again!

Happy New Year!

Unfortunately, DTC Jr. didn't show up for rehearsal this evening. I blame myself for not confirming with Narsedahlia before arriving to the center early. (We had texted a couple of weeks prior, but a reminder wouldn't have hurt.)

Still ... Angel, María, Sarah, Marque, and Evan (Angel and María's younger brother) showed and we were off to the races. After catching up, we immediately got into the story we will be writing for the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival. There were a couple of times I needed to get everyone back to focus, but for the most part, it was a pretty productive session. Here are some of the notes we took down on the blackboard:

There was a great, refreshing energy with the group, like they had missed one another. The two waves of brainstorming mentioned were good conversations and we seemed to find beats available for two different looks we can work on for next week. I'm excited to use improv so we can put some "flesh on the bones" for the two versions of the script we were able to create today.
