On our final lap before locking this one in!

- two new members

- almost to the end

- story really starting to take shape

- warm-ups on focus needed

I have to start out by saying I am so impressed with the crew today! I had originally cancelled the rehearsal because my family was supposed to have taken a trip where I would have needed to leave earlier today and not been available. Given the recent "pandemic," these plans were cancelled. I reached out to them earlier by text to see if they still wanted to rehearse. To my surprise, they agreed to do so!

When 6pm hit, I started charting our "show map" so we all knew what we needed to accomplish today. I knew they were outside and just on the other side of the building, at the park, playing some game. Alex came in apologizing, saying they had forgotten to look at the time. Unfortunately, Gio and Chava were not with them, but Cristian and his brother Jonathan were! They attended last week's session as well, and I believe the crew is happy to have more folks on "the team."

Roberto's Scenario

We went into our first couple of scenes and it took a while for us to re-group, but we were able to complete the first three real, preferred, and realistic scenarios to Roberto's story. Since Gio and Chava were not there, I was able to stand in and we presented the scene to our newest members so we could fold them into the mix.

Olegario's Scenarios

Then we moved on to Olegario's scenario and we were able to flesh out the three different takes and bring the new guys in, but that was about it. I tried to express the importance of centering ourselves and being focused so we didn't have to redo the scene numerous times, but they all seemed ready to be done at that point. It was somewhat frustrating but I needed to remind myself our meeting today almost didn't occur, so it was better than nothing! I really appreciate Alex and Olegario for helping to keep things "on track." Next time, I just need to incorporate some exercises to work on focus and our need to depend on one another, even if it does take 10-15 minutes of our work time.
